MetaDerm HyperMoisturizing Cream Proven to Naturally Heal Dry Itchy Inflamed Skin, Prevent Future Flares, and Provide Soothing Moisturizing Relief (6.5 oz.)

MetaDerm Hyper-Moisturizing Cream is a natural skin treatment with Active Botanicals clinically proven to provide profound relief. MetaDerm was more effective in clinical trials than most OTC and prescription drugs and, unlike these toxic, immuno-suppressive agents, MetaDerm is gentle enough to use in newborns or as part of your daily skin regime.

Our Active Botanical Complex was developed to treat hyper-inflammation and restore skin’s natural barrier; healing red, itchy, inflamed skin and preventing future flares. Our Hypermoisturizing formula gently maintains skin hydration and provides barrier protection

Apply liberally to affected areas at least twice daily or as needed. During flares use MetaDerm Hyper-Moisturizing Daily Cream or MetaDerm Soothing Sprays, which have the same healing Active Botanicals, frequently throughout the day. MetaDerm will restore your skin’s natural healing potential and maintain clear, flare free skin with continual use. MetaDerm can be used alone or mixed and matched as part of your daily skin care regimen. When used twice a day or more, you can achieve meaningful results in 2 weeks and clear skin within 8-12 weeks. To prevent flares and maintain results, use daily. If you are currently using topical steroids, sudden withdrawal can result in topical steroid withdrawal-induced flares. In this situation, consider adding MetaDerm to your current regimen and tapering off topical steroids.

Plus, with a money-back guarantee, your journey to healthy skin with MetaDerm is risk-free.

  • Moisturizing formula provides long-lasting hydration and protection. 25 active botanicals naturally relieve itch and inflamation for normal, flare-free skin
  • Clinically proven in multiple clinical trials to relieve symptoms better than OTCs and most prescription drugs
  • Apply 2x daily, improvement in 2 weeks, clear skin in 10-12 weeks. If using steroids, taper gradually as you start using MetaDerm. Abruptly discontinuing steroids can cause a severe disease flare
  • Money Back Guarantee. With MetaDerm, your journey to healthy skin is risk-free. No steroids. No parabens. No dyes. No fragrances. Just natural relief
  • For best results use with MetaDerm Spray, with the same 25 active botanicals and MetaDerm Foaming Wash

Recent change in formula, July 26, 2016

Haus has recently reformulated this lotion. I just ordered a new bottle and immediately felt a huge difference. It was more runny and not thick like the previous batch. The top inactive ingredients are different. Glycerin, stearic acid and cetyl alcohol. If you noticed a difference, you’re not going crazy.

I contacted Haus about the change, thinking I had received the incorrect product, but was informed that it was a reformulation. As a mom who has struggled to keep her son’s eczema under control (so he’s not scratching bloody holes in his arms and legs), I was concerned. We had found something that worked and now what worked was suddenly changed. The rep who contacted me was very understanding and willing to work with me to help find a solution if the new formulation did not work. I was very pleasantly surprised at their level of customer service.

After a couple days of adjustment, the new formulation seems to be working great on my son’s skin (two applications a day). We had just moved to a drier climate and my primary concern was that without the emulsifying wax, it would not keep my son’s dry skin moist enough. The regular “baby eczema cream” certainly didn’t. It made my son’s skin sting and once when we had to use it because we were out of the Hyper-cream, he broke out in hives on his legs. But it does seem that the new hyper-moisturizing cream works fine now.

To add more context, we started using Metaderm a little over a year ago after our son was going through a terrible eczema flare up. We had to wrap his legs with ace bandages and soccer shin-shields to keep him from scratching himself bloody in the middle of the night (and sometimes he even managed to get through all of that…). In desperation, after one such midnight episode that left me cleaning and re-bandaging his leg, my husband found Metaderm while scouring the internet for a solution. We ordered it and in combination with the prescription steroid creams he cleared up in a week. We slowly weaned him off the prescription steroids and were down to only occasional 1% hydro (treatment also included removing reactive foods on an IgG panel) only on the problem spots on his arms and knees that just won’t go away.

I’m really glad we found Metaderm. I just wish they’d have given a warning before they changed the formula so I could have skipped the panic attack. 🙂

Update: I dropped the rating one star because almost every time now the pump included with the 32oz bottle either arrives with a broken spout, or the spout won’t release and pop up for pumping, or it just will not get suction and start pumping the lotion. I’ve had to use the pump on old bottles that still worked for the new bottles we’ve ordered. And yes, the pump design has changed since we started ordering it.

    AMAZING STUFF!, June 23, 2017

This spray is AMAZING! I’ve had psoriasis for years and despite taking Otezla for 1 year (which I quit taking because it didn’t help) in addition to using Clobetasol foam, fluocinonide ointment, and calcipotriene foam, it’s continued to spread. My dermatologist recommended Humira but I’m reluctant due to some of the side effects. Psoriasis looks gross and it’s itchy, but it beats having lymphoma or the other potential negative effects of Humira, Enbrel, or other biologics.

There’s not any place on my body that doesn’t have at least one plaque, but it’s my scalp that drives me mad. It itches and flakes, and it’s so embarrassing. If I shake my head vigorously, I can make it look like it’s snowing. And getting my hair done? That’s just not something I do anymore because stylists get grossed out by it — or, even if they don’t act like they do, I feel like they are. That’s life with psoriasis. I bought this on a whim, figuring that any relief from the itching — especially at night — would be welcome.

It has been three days, people. THREE DAYS and already my psoriasis looks better than it has in years! I’m still using the clobetasol for now because I don’t want a rebound effect, but in conjunction with the MetaDerm I’ve started to see a little clearing and, more importantly, the plaques aren’t nearly as bad. And my scalp? Not perfect but SO much better. I intend to keep using this but, if my brief experience thus far is any indication, I’m feeling hopeful about it clearing up.
